Aikido is the way of harmony.
Martial arts are studied for self-defense and self-improvement,
but Aikido differs from other martial arts in that the practitioner seeks
to achieve self-defense without injury to attackers.
The techniques are designed to harmonize with the natural movements of the body.
About half of the techniques involve joint locks, which enable the "attacker" to
be moved to a pinning position where they can be held without injury. Other techniques
involve throwing the partner. Much practice time is spent learning how to fall safely.

IAIDO is the Path to Self Perfection.
Iaido is the art of classical Japanese swordsmanship.
It involves the techniques of drawing, cutting with, and returning the
Japanese sword to its scabbard. The quality of Iaido movement is
graceful and relaxed, yet powerful and decisive. The hidden potential
of each person becomes expressed through one's evolution to mastery of the art.
Iaido can be seen as a moving meditation with draws and cuts that are deliberate,
formalized, and beautiful. Iaido practice restores harmony, focus and balance to one's life. |

Aikido teaches students to defend themselves by not fighting.
Instead of using potentially crippling kicks or punches. The student of
Aikido learns to apply various wristlocks, arm pins, and unbalancing throws.
These neutralize attacks without serious injury to the attackers. Aikido is
ideal for children because the self-defense techniques, which it teaches, do
not depend on superior size or strength. Girls and boys can practice together
and participate equally.
AIKI KIDS helps to develop:
Self-discipline, Self-esteem and positive self-image, Social Skills, Confidence
